Miss Rosanna Ching FRCS Plast
Consultant Plastic & Craniofacial Surgeon
Rosanna Ching works as an NHS Consultant in Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery for the Oxford Craniofacial Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where she specialises in treating both adults and children with craniofacial conditions. Miss Ching is a core member of the Oxford Facial Palsy Clinic, where she provides NHS care to patients of all ages with a facial palsy. Additionally, she undertakes reconstructive Plastic Surgery for skin cancer and troublesome scars and skin lesions for patients from across Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
Graduating with honours from the University of Leeds Medical School with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 2007, Rosanna completed her early medical and surgical training in Yorkshire and Cambridge, prior to gaining international Plastic Surgery experience in New Zealand, and undertaking nerve regeneration laboratory research in Sweden. She completed her Plastic Surgery higher surgical training in the North East of England in 2021 and was added to the GMC's specialist register for Plastic Surgery. In her final year of training, Rosanna completed a highly sought-after Craniofacial Surgery fellowship in Oxford, and was subsequently appointed as a Consultant Plastic and Craniofacial Surgeon at the world-renowned Oxford Craniofacial Unit, part of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Miss Ching continues her research in nerve regeneration, with hopes of improving outcomes for patients with nerve injuries. She is also published in international peer-reviewed Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial Surgery journals and regularly presents at international scientific meetings, sharing her work with the surgical community.
